Brothers,

Allow me to officially extend my invitation for you to attend Section C-3A’s Winter COC. This year we will be hosted by the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge in the Allsop Center at Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation. You all can play an important role in our Sections future by attending our COC and giving us your feedback on how you would like YOUR 2017 Section Conclave to go. Thank you for all that you do!

Yours in cheerful service.

Peter Flynn
2017 Section C-3A Chief

Greeting Brothers,

I hope your New Year is off to a grand start and that 2017 finds you healthy!

This past weekend was the Section C-3A Winter Banquet tour and a very busy one since for the first time I can remember all the Banquets were held on the same weekend.  This made for a busy weekend and four of the five Lodges in the Section had Guests from the Section.  The Section Team would like to thank you for your gracious hospitality.  The Section Team is sorry that no one from the Section Team could attend the Wenasa Quenhotan banquet since there were three banquets on the same night.

Now onto the information regarding the Section C-3A Winter COC meeting. The weekend schedule is as follows:

January 21st

10:00 AM – COC Meeting Call-to-Order (Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation – Allsop Center)

4:30 PM – Leave for evening activity (AirFX in Cedar Rapids – Cost per person is $14.00)

7:30 PM – Dinner at Pizza Ranch (Marion, IA – Cost per person is $10.78)

January 22th

7:30 AM – Breakfast at the Allsop Center

8:15 AM – COC Meeting, Call-to-Order

12:30 PM – COC Meeting Adjourns and Clean-up (tentative)

1:00 PM – Depart for home (tentative)

The evening activity will be AirFX located in Hiawatha. AirFX is a Trampoline Park that we will use for one (1) hour Saturday evening. In addition to the Trampolines, the other activities available as part of the entrance fee are: Dodgeball Court, Trampoline Basketball, 18 and 24-foot Tumble Tracks, Jumping Pits and Slackline/Tightrope. For those who choose not to pay the entry fee for the above activities, there is Laser Frenzy, Hurricane Room and concessions available for an individual fee. If you choose to use the Trampolines, you will need to complete the AirFX Waiver of liability that is available online at: www.airfxcr.com

The COC fee for the weekend is ONLY $20.00 and it includes: Lunch on Saturday; Overnight Accommodations at the Allsop Center, Breakfast on Sunday morning and the Pizza Ranch buffet for youth. I would ask that adult participants pay for their own buffet at the Pizza Ranch.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the Winter COC in Waterloo on January 21st.

In Service,

Paul Empie
